The reception was at Firefly which is just a few blocks from my home studio here in South Pasadena. I have to admit it was really nice to be photographing a wedding so close to home!

The other day I was walking down to 750ml (which is a nearby hip new restaurant) I spotted a huge tree in front of the South Pasadena Library. As you can see from these images, I just had to work it into Victoria and Bob’s wedding day photos!

This was such an awesome wedding at Casa Del Mar in Santa Monica, California! Nicole and Alex really know how to have a fun time!

I had such a fun day with Victoria & Bob shooting their engagement session. They were great sports and super models. I love spending time with my couples before the wedding taking a few photos and having some fun. Here are a few of my favorites.

Kim and Marcus were married in a a back yard ceremony under two banana palm trees in Hollywood, California surrounded by friends and family. All of their friends and family helped out to make the day extra special. Kim made her own dresses (she had 2) as well as the bridesmaid dresses. www.fleurstudio.com Kim and her mom also made all of the table linens, place cards, and pink puffy flowers. Marcus’ sister was the officiant and Marcus made the cake. A great time was had by all!

Celine & Don had a beautiful ceremony in their back yard garden in Sacramento. I felt really honored to be part of their celebration.

It was a beautiful day and the perfect location for a super neat wedding on May 6, 2007 (05.06.07)!

Such a sweet and genuine couple. Jeanne took the time to make me feel special as if I was a guest or family member. I was taking a close up photos of the place cards and saw the name ‘Stump’ - I thought it would be nice to meet another ‘Stump’ - looking again I saw it read ‘Vanessa Stump.’ That had never happened for me before and it was such a nice surprise.

The wedding was held at Santa Anita Church a beautiful church and the reception at the La Canada Flintridge Country Club. Rosie from www.justagirlsevent.com helped Jeanne with the planning. Kerim from www.myweddingblooms.com did the amazing flowers, Allen from www.aaadjservice.com kept the dance floor moving all night and my favorite part two cakes! The chocolate cake was tied for the best cake I have ever tasted. WOW it was great! Pastries By Nancy in Altadena. The white cake was from Cakery Bakery in La Canada.

My friend Stephan came out from Boston to serve as my second photographer at this wedding.

Sandee and John had an amazing wedding in Avalon at the Catalina Country Club. It was pouring down rain on Friday the day before the ceremony but Saturday the sun came back out for a perfect day.

Cathy from An Event Two Be did the planning and was so great to work with. She once told me she loves planning weddings because it is like spending time with a great new family every week.

Brandi Carlile sang “The Story” as Sandee walked down the isle. It was wonderful. http://www.brandicarlile.com/
