More from my postcard collection. I also collect food and kids. One of my chef friend’s brought these back for me from Paris a few years ago.The French call April 1 Poisson d’Avril, or “April Fish.” French children sometimes tape a picture of a fish on the back of their schoolmates, crying “Poisson d’Avril” when the prank is discovered. Rough translation “The fish of April are very often jokers. You will see that those are stuffed with softnesses.” “You awaited it I am certain. Remains has to know who I bring?”

A really cool caricaturist named Soozi made this image of me at an industry networking event recently. I had never done it before - it was fun. I love how she incorporated so many elements that make it ME.

On a trip to paris for a friends birthday a couple of years ago (this week actually - happy birthday Brigid!) I found a few amazing vintage hand painted photographic postcards in a flea market. Whenever anyone I know is traveling I always ask them to look for more cards for my collection. I try to focus the theme to couples and marriage to make it easy and it goes along with what I love to photograph.While looking for more postcard’s online I came across etsy.com a really fun place and discovered aceo’s, art cards, editions and originals. I also try to focus on couples. One of my favorite artists is studiolyon. Two of her pieces below. I have a bunch and will share more soon.

Last week I went to a really great conference called PartnerCon put on by Pictage my online store. This was my third year going to the conference - each year it gets better and better.
